I am an Associate Professor of Civil Society and Community Studies at the University of Wisconsin in the School of Human Ecology and faculty director of the Human Ecology Quantitative Program. My research focuses on the intersection of education and criminal justice with particular attention to issues of racial equity in school safety, security, and discipline. I approach my research from an interdisciplinary perspective with a focus on equity and social justice that reflects my training in Community Research and Action.
